Source Matters is a gathering place for anyone who ever looked closely at anything — and felt something look back.

The drum-playing neurophysicist chasing the first cause. The microbotanist studying mycelium — how it carries information and nutrients between distant trees. Somebody cooking a favorite dish who decides, on the strength of an idea, to change one thing up. The cellist reaching for an odd 7/4. Or just a passerby walking a road that probably won’t be there forever.
Different, yet so similar — one direction. All of them pointing at the deeper parts underneath and inside of everything: the place where matter, consciousness, and meaning share a single nudge.
We call that Source. Not a man in the sky. Not a brand of belief to sign. It’s the origin that every honest tradition, every real discipline, and every quiet 3 a.m. question has been circling from the outside.
We’re not here to sell you a religion. We’re here to remember something out loud, together — that you belong to the thing that made you, and you always have. Come as a scientist. Come as a skeptic. Come as someone who stopped believing years ago and never stopped wondering.
The door is the same width for all of you.
The one thing you can never get behind to check. We treat it as foundational — not an accident the universe stumbled into, but the ground it stands on.
A cell, a chord, a world, a life. To make something is to take part in the Source directly. Everything here is building.
Nothing real happens in isolation. Meaning lives in the space between things — between people, between a question and an answer, between you and where you came from.
A remembering is easier out loud, with others. No hierarchy to climb. No doctrine to pass. No dues to owe.

There’s no doctrine to accept before you’re welcome. No membership to buy. No one standing between you and the Source. We strip away the institution and keep the connection — the part that was real long before anyone built a building around it.

Source Matters was founded by Michael Fisher — known to nearly everyone as Fish, and lately as Pastor Fish. He’s a builder and a multi-instrumentalist who has spent decades asking the same handful of questions from every angle he could find: through trades and tools, through songs, through a framework of his own for how consciousness and connection actually work.
Alongside him is Brittany Franzoni, ordained minister and steward of the community.
This isn’t a polished institution with a marketing department. It’s two people and a growing circle who decided the connection was worth protecting — and worth sharing.
Symbols the community keeps returning to — the star, the geometry underneath things, the Source at the center of it all.
There are no grand services yet. No scripted program. What there is: a handful of people, an open invitation, and real room for you to help shape what this becomes.
We’re not going to change the world overnight. But everything starts somewhere.

Source Matters is a duly incorporated religious organization and ordains its own ministers. Pastor Fish is recognized to officiate marriages and unions, lead gatherings and rites of passage, and provide spiritual counsel and care.
